THE UNIQUE UNIVERSALITY OF THE ABSTRACT
When talking about painting, Mihaela connects herself with vibes from around objects. Unseen, yet strong lines, that connect objects and people are her description of a new reality.
Mihaela's artistic road started when she was 10 years old when she began her artistic education at Ecole des Beaux Arts, Iasi-Romania. This school has been considered over the years as one of the most demanding and rewarding art institution in Eastern Europe.
She continued her dream with a B.A. at the Faculty of Visual Arts. The difficulty of living as an artist during those years made her to pursue a "better" carrier and she graduated with a Master's degree of Law. Even during the years when she practiced as a lawyer she never abandoned her art, working part-time as visual arts teacher and participating in group and solo art shows in Romania.
After moving to Canada in 2001, together with her husband and the two children, she decided to return full time to painting. She presented successfully her art to shows in Toronto, Mississauga and Kitchener- Waterloo area with awards and large public appreciation.
Painting is something that she loves dearly and allows her to search for the unifying balance between what can be seen and what is to be sensed - the emotional structure and universality of the abstract.
